Sidewalk Landing Page
The landing page for the Sidewalk mobile app was designed to be a lightweight online presence for interested people to sign up for the beta of our iOS and Android apps. Despite the limited information available on this site we received a steady number of daily signups, demonstrating interest in a product that solves for this need.
Fact0ry Rapid Prototyping
As an Intuit designer I participated in, and helped to facilitate, a full-day immersive experience for Intuit's top 24 executives at the "SVP Offsite" in December 2015. The experience was designed by a team from The Fact0ry and focused on rapid prototyping and testing of new product ideas with real customers. The executives and designers were placed on 8 different teams and given a problem to design a solution for and test with multiple customers in a matter of a few hours. As the designer on my team, it was my job to rapidly bring to life our ideas by hand drawing prototypes on paper and then bringing some of those ideas to Sketch and InVision.
Mint Businesses
In March 2015, I was asked to create a quick mockup for an idea for Mint. As part of Sidewalk, my team explored using transactions from Mint to find businesses that people had recently been to or frequently visited. We wanted to build this idea directly in to Mint to help people make the connection between their finances and the businesses they interact with on a daily basis. Below are some screens for seeing your businesses in the Mint Mobile App. Further steps after building this feature would have included adding a link to download and install Sidewalk from the Businesses page in Mint.
Maker Time Light
Maker Time is a scheduled no-meeting time in the Innovation and Advanced Technology team at Intuit. In an effort to explore making and using ambient light as a notification system, I used the OrbNext and IFTTT to create a light that turns on during the specified no-meeting hours to let everyone know its Maker Time.
NEXT Day - IoT
NEXT Day is an internal event at Intuit to educate employees about new and emerging technology as well as inspire them to look for the next big shifts in the industry. In May 2015, I co-wrote the content for the NEXT Day exhibit on the Internet of Things. This included descriptions of its potential to change the technology industry in general as well as possible implications for Intuit's customers and Intuit products. Partnering with Percolate, we created the following posters to display in the event space.
